Job description

Careers that change lives start here. Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.

A Day in the Life

The Physiological Sensing R&D team is dedicated to the end-to-end development, continuous advancement, and clinical validation of innovative monitoring technologies that measure, interpret, and leverage physiological signals to improve patient outcomes. Their expertise spans anesthesia and depth of sedation monitoring, respiratory monitoring, pulse oximetry, regional oximetry, and the integration of predictive algorithms and clinical decision support solutions. By focusing on non-invasive, real-time technologies, they empower clinicians with actionable insights in surgery, critical care, and other high-risk settings.

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will design and develop software for medical products, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle, from early-stage solution exploration and technical evaluation to feature development, product enhancements, and sustainment of existing products. You will work closely with software, hardware, systems, test, and quality teams across different countries, requiring clear communication and effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C and C++.
  • Develop software for microcontrollers and related hardware interfaces.
