Job summary

SoCode Recruitment seeks an experienced Electronics Engineer to lead a growing team just outside Dublin, Ireland. The role is senior, client-facing, and focuses on owning the electronics side of product programmes from concept to market-ready devices, guiding architecture, and briefing both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

You'll build a cross-disciplinary team around you, drawing on in-house labs and workshops to deliver hardware/software splits, prototypes, and scalable

Qualifications

• Architect embedded systems for consumer products balancing hardware/software partitioning under form-factor constraints.
• Turn early-stage concepts into workable electronics architecture and explain that architecture clearly to a delivery team.
• Strong foundation across embedded hardware, wireless connectivity, power management and firmware development.
• Lead teams and projects; communicate with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with EU/US regulatory requirements and designing to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electronics team and own the hardware/software split for product programmes.
• Guide builds from sketch to working prototype with in-house labs and workshops.
• Brief engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders on progress and decisions.
• Drive end-to-end product development from concept to market release.
