Job summary

PA in Bray, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Electronics Architect to lead multi-disciplinary teams across concept to production, delivering consumer electronics solutions for global brands.

You'll drive embedded hardware-software architectures, mentor engineers, and ensure designs meet EU/US standards. The role offers a dynamic, collaborative studio environment with cutting-edge R&D facilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in consumer-centric embedded system architectures.
  • Excellent ideation skills to translate product visions into realisable electronics architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded and battery technologies including low-power SiCs/SoCs.
  • Strong C programming, device drivers and platform bring-up experience.
  • Experience delivering designs into consumer research trials and market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and guide teams through complex engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams across concept to production.
  • Translate product visions into executable electronics architectures.

We are looking for candidates with the followingtechnical skills:

A proventrack recordofdevelopingconsumer centricembedded systemarchitectureswherefunctionsare partitionedbetween hardware and softwareand where the form factor poses unique integration challenges.

Excellentconceptideationskills with the ability to work with product and marketing teamsin ordertotranslate product visions into realisable electronics architecturesand to communicate those architectures toyourdevelopment teams.

An excellent understanding of key embeddedand batterytechnologies includinglow powerprocessors,wireless communicationsSoCsandwireless/cabled battery management solutions.

Strongembedded software skills– especially low-level C-coding, device drivers and platformbring up.(knowledge ofNordic microcontrollers using Zephyr RTOSan advantage)

Comfortable working close to theelectronicsplatform and working acrosselectronics-mechanicaland software-electronicsboundaries.

Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product releaseincludingdemonstrable experience of delivering your designs intoconsumer researchtrialsand to the market.

A good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the EU and US and a proventrack recordof designing for compliance withappropriate standardsfor Consumer Electronics products.

Excellentwritten and verbalcommunication skills and be comfortableexplaining complex engineering concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.

Qualifications

This is a challenging role,so we expectexperience to be reinforced by astrong academic background.

PhD,Masters or Bachelor’sdegreequalified–in electronic engineering or a related subjectfrom a leading university.
