Job summary

EPM Scientific in Limerick is supporting a global medical technology organisation by recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer for a 12-month contract. This hands-on role covers electronic design and problem-solving across the full product development lifecycle within a highly collaborative engineering team.

You will design and support electronic hardware, create PCB designs using industry tools, troubleshoot complex hardware issues, and work with cross-functional teams including software,

Qualifications

• Senior Electronics Engineer with significant industry experience.
• Strong electronic circuit design, development and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on PCB design experience.
• Proficient with Altium Designer and/or PADS for schematics and layouts.
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++ in development environments.
• Experience in a regulated medical device industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support electronic hardware solutions for new and existing products.
• Create and modify PCB designs using industry-standard design tools.
• Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve complex electronic hardware issues.
• Support product development from concept through verification and release.
• Collaborate with software, systems, mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
• Review designs, schematics and layouts for quality and compliance.
• Contribute to design improvements and root-cause investigations.
