Job summary

Careerwise Recruitment seeks a Design Engineering Manager for an electronics client based in Warwick, UK. You will lead a multi-site design team through NPI and development, guiding concept development, verification, validation, and product release to meet customer and business objectives.

You will drive CI initiatives, CAD and PCB tooling, ensure quality with the QMS, and collaborate with customers to translate requirements into robust electronics and sensor products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of related design engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of interfacing signals to PLC platforms and programming languages.
Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks) and PCBA testing.
Six-Sigma / Design of experiments a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a multi-site design engineering team.
Oversee NPI and development from concept to product release.
Drive CI projects and kaizen events to improve yields.
Prepare specifications, test plans, and data sheets.
Interface with customers and support QA/QMS compliance.
Redesign and upgrade PCB designs as components become obsolete.
