Job summary

DPS Group Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a busy team supporting capital projects within a live manufacturing environment. You will own projects, coordinating with contractors, consultants and vendors across electrical, utilities, process and packaging systems.

The role focuses on delivering projects from concept through design, construction, commissioning and handover, with a strong emphasis on safety, cost control and stakeholder management in a regulated

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong electrical engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems.
• Technical capability to support and challenge decisions on high-voltage infrastructure, including a 110 kV site project.
• Proven experience delivering capital projects across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors and engineering consultants.
• Strong project planning, cost control and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects and make sound technical decisions.

Electrical Project Engineer - Capital Projects

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a busy engineering team supporting capital projects within a live manufacturing environment.

This role would suit an engineer with a strong industrial electrical background who also has hands-on experience delivering projects from initial concept and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.

You will take ownership of your own projects, working closely with contractors, consultants, vendors and site stakeholders across a varied portfolio of electrical, utilities, process and manufacturing projects.

What We’re Looking For

The key requirement is a strong combination of industrial electrical engineering experience and capital project delivery.

Ideally, you will have:

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong electrical engineering experience gained in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems.
• Technical capability to support and challenge engineering decisions associated with high-voltage infrastructure, including a 110 kV site project.
• Proven experience delivering capital projects across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors and engineering consultants.
• Strong project planning, cost control and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant Industry Background

Experience within a regulated or process-driven manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant, including:

• Food & Beverage
• Brewing
• Pharmaceutical / Biopharmaceutical
• Chemical / Process Manufacturing
• Other large-scale industrial manufacturing environments

The Person

We are particularly interested in speaking with engineers who are electrically strong first and foremost, but who have also developed solid project management and delivery capability.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects, working on a live operational site and confidently challenging designs, contractors and technical proposals when required.
