Job summary

Noel Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical building services projects from concept to handover, delivering energy-efficient designs and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will manage design delivery, stakeholder engagement, and technical quality across the project lifecycle, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring ISO standards and governance are followed. The role offers opportunities for career development within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in building services consultancy or similar.
• Strong technical expertise in power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, fire alarm systems, ICT infrastructure and renewable energy technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop innovative and energy-efficient engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, specifications, reports and tender documentation.
• Coordinate project deliverables to meet programme, quality and budget objectives.
• Provide technical leadership during design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Monitor site installations and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Promote best practice in sustainability, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Our Client is a growing consulting engineering practice delivering mechanical, electrical and sustainability solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from concept through to completion, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and contributing to technically challenging and energy-efficient building services designs.

The Role

You will take ownership of electrical building services projects, managing design delivery, stakeholder engagement and technical quality throughout the project lifecycle. The position combines hands-on engineering, project leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop innovative and energy-efficient engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, specifications, reports and tender documentation.
• Coordinate project deliverables to meet programme, quality and budget objectives.
• Work closely with clients, architects, structural engineers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Provide technical leadership during design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Monitor site installations and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Promote best practice in sustainability, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO management systems and project governance requirements.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within building services consultancy or a similar engineering environment.
• Strong technical expertise in: Power distribution, Lighting systems, Emergency systems, Fire alarm systems, ICT infrastructure, Renewable energy technologies
• Experience delivering projects through design, tender, construction and handover stages.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.
