Job summary

Urbanism seeks a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer to lead Electrical Services design for residential and commercial projects in the Dublin area. The role involves producing detailed schematics, developing design standards, and mentoring junior staff.

You will manage tender packages, budgets, and site quality, while collaborating with clients and design teams. Primarily office-based with occasional site attendance, you will drive project scope and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering.
• 10+ years as a Senior Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical design for buildings/data centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects.
• Design and specification of electrical services for various buildings and sectors (Data centers).
• Production of detailed Schematics.
• Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation.
• Mentoring of junior engineering staff.
• Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion.
• Tender report / analysis / recommendations.
• Develop project scope with design team / client.
• Produce budgets and reports for clients.
• Role primarily office-based but will involve some site attendances.
• Be capable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from management.

• Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
• Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors (Data centers)
• Production of detailed Schematics

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, REVIT an advantage
• Produce budgets and reports for clients
• The role will be primarily office based but will involve some site attendances
