Job summary

GEDON™ | Precision Search for Complex Construction is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead detailed electrical tendering for high-specification projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. You will manage take-offs, pricing and risk analysis early in the tender lifecycle.

The role offers exposure to data centre, life sciences and advanced manufacturing schemes with a clear ladder to senior estimating or commercial leadership positions and potential international travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator within an M&E or specialist engineering contracting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services for data centre, life sciences or advanced manufacturing projects.
• Experience preparing and managing tenders for large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and tenders for large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Carry out take-offs, pricing and cost analysis for electrical building services packages.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to identify scope, risk and opportunity.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to inform competitive pricing.
• Prepare and present tender submissions, ensuring commercial and technical accuracy.
• Liaise with clients, design teams and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
• Support handover of successful projects to the delivery team, ensuring a smooth transition from tender to construction.

You will join a highly experienced pre-construction and estimating team, working on a broad portfolio of large-scale, technically complex projects. Assignments span data centre, life sciences and advanced manufacturing developments across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East, offering strong variety and consistent exposure to cutting-edge electrical building services.

The role offers involvement across the full tender lifecycle, from early-stage budget pricing and design development through to final tender submission and handover to the delivery team. This provides broad, well-rounded experience and regular engagement with clients, design teams and supply chain partners on some of the sector's most prestigious projects.

What You Need

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator within an M&E or specialist engineering contracting environment
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services, ideally within data centre, life sciences or advanced manufacturing projects
• Experience preparing and managing tenders for large-scale, technically complex projects
• Proficiency with estimating software and strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support international project opportunities
