Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Senior EHS Officer for a Data Center project in Blanchardstown, Dublin, on-site. You will support the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with health, safety and workplace legislation and help implement the Integrated Management System.

The role requires a Health and Safety Diploma or Degree and a minimum of 5 years' EH&S experience. Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to influence others are essential for success within our team.

Qualifications

• Relevant Health and Safety Diploma / Degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety role.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Enjoy working as part of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EHS Manager in achieving Suir’s Critical Success Factor 1: full compliance with Health, Safety & Workplace Legislation.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Construction Team on the Integrated Management System.
• Ensure the site is set up with a Site-Specific Construction EHS Plan.
• Become SME in Suir’s High Risk Activities (HRA’s) and control on site.
• Assist with Risk Assessments & Method Statements development.
• Assist with SOP development and provide training/communication to site personnel.
• Promote the Suir Way and its interfaces with Health & Safety.
• Report and investigate incidents, identify root causes and communicate actions.
