Job summary

Weltec Engineering Ltd. in Waterford seeks an experienced EHS Officer to ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations across projects.

You will collaborate with the EHS Manager and Site PM to drive best practices and foster a safety culture. Responsibilities include developing method statements and risk assessments, delivering toolbox talks, conducting EHS audits and incident investigations, and reporting on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ proven EHS Officer experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience as Principal Contractor and PSCS is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to ensure project compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments in coordination with supervisors/foremen.
• Conduct EHS audits and Accident/Incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Provide guidance to Project Management on site-specific EHS best practices.
• Plan and deliver training sessions, including Toolbox Talks, to promote a safety-oriented culture.
• Report on EHS performance metrics as required.
• Actively promote and enforce company EHS policies and procedures.
• Provide support to the EHS department and collaborate with fellow EHS Officers as needed.
