Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Senior EHS Officer for sites in Dublin City Centre. You will ensure on-site safety, drive a strong safety culture, and support the EHS Manager with inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across flagship projects.

The role requires 5+ years in EHS within construction, a degree in a related discipline, and fullDriving licence plus Safepass/Manual Handling certifications. Dublin-based with ongoing training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar EHS role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and large-scale construction exposure.
• Senior or lead EHS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe delivery of large-scale construction projects on-site.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support the EHS Manager, conduct site inspections, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior EHS team members and provide guidance to site management on EHS matters.
• Liaise with authorities, clients and auditors; deliver EHS training and awareness to site teams.
