Job summary

MCS Group is assisting a vibrant Dublin software start-up in hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer. The role is hands-on, partnering with software engineers to enhance cloud environments, deployment processes and system reliability in a modern microservices setup.

Based in Dublin city centre with a hybrid model (3 days on-site). You’ll own operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability and production support while working closely with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Background in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments and modern deployment tooling.
• Experience with deploying and operating containerised microservices.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure.
• Work with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Support microservices-based applications in production.
• Improve reliability, scalability and operational performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues.
• Support monitoring, logging and observability.
• Work with software engineers to improve deployment and release processes.
• Use Infrastructure as Code to manage cloud environments.
• Support cloud security and access controls.
• Work with networking including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing and security groups.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Contribute to incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
