Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking a Sr. Desktop .NET Engineer based in Ireland for a fully remote, long-term contract.

You will build desktop apps that connect with hardware, sensors, and robotics within a large-scale IoT project for a German enterprise client. You will design with C#, .NET, MVVM, and UI frameworks (WPF/WinUI/MAUI), work on multithreading and performance tuning, and collaborate across international teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with C#/.NET desktop apps.
• Experience with WPF/WinUI/MAUI and MVVM.
• Strong multithreading, async/await and perf optimization skills.
• Familiarity with network protocols and API integration.
• B2-level German required for client communication.
• Experience with hardware integrations or IoT systems is a plus.
• Exposure to C++ or native DLL modules advantageous.
• Ability to work in an international distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop apps using C# and .NET.
• Build modern UI with WPF/WinUI/MAUI following MVVM.
• Develop UI controls and 2D/3D data visualisation components.
• Integrate desktop software with hardware, sensors, robotics.
• Implement high-performance, multithreaded, async solutions.
• Work with protocols and APIs including TCP/UDP, WebSocket, gRPC, REST.
• Collaborate with teams building native C++ modules and SDKs.
• Contribute to system architecture, optimization, scalability and delivery.
