Blue Forge Recruitment partners with leading retailers in Ireland and is seeking an experienced Department Manager for a busy North Dublin store. The role focuses on leading a high-volume team, driving sales performance and maintaining exceptional customer service.

You will manage stock, implement promotions, and control costs while ensuring policy compliance and staff development. The position offers a competitive salary and bonus structure with 40 hours per week.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 4-5 years of retail management experience, ideally in big box/DIY.
• Proficient in KPI management, sales targets, budgets and shrinkage controls.
• Experience with retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends.
• Excellent people skills with the ability to lead and motivate large teams (up to 50).
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.

Aufgaben

• Act as a senior member of management, supporting the Store manager to achieve sales and other commercial objectives
• Ensure teams abide by company policies and procedures
• Manage stock inventory and train staff and management on inventory management
• Implement advertising, sales promotion and display plans
• Own store controllable costs to keep operations profitable
• Recruit, select and train staff with HR in conjunction
• Handle customer queries and complaints as per policies
• Act as a point of contact for staff grievances and performance issues
