Job summary

Cpl in Dublin seeks a Senior Databricks Data Engineer to own and evolve the data platform. You will work hands-on on Databricks, shaping architecture and engineering standards while delivering scalable data solutions.

Initial engagement is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of permanent hire. The role requires independent problem solving and close collaboration with engineering, technology and business stakeholders in a hybrid Dublin setting.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Databricks experience essential.
• Senior or Lead Data Engineer with data platform ownership experience.
• Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Ability to influence architecture and take technical direction.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the Databricks data platform.
• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Help define the future architecture and technical direction of the platform.
• Improve engineering standards, performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Work independently on complex Data Engineering challenges.
• Provide technical guidance and influence key decisions around the data landscape.
• Collaborate with engineering, technology and business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve and modernise the existing data environment.
