Job summary

AIB is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the Data Retention & Governance Team. You will translate business needs and regulatory obligations into actionable requirements, designs and controls focused on data retention and records management.

Based in Dublin, you will work across business, technology, risk and legal teams to drive enterprise‑wide governance capabilities and collaborate with programme and project managers to manage scope, risks and delivery milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong experience in data management, data governance or regulatory change initiatives.
• Proven ability to define and manage complex business and data requirements.
• Experience delivering change involving data flows, controls and system impacts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and written communication skills.
• Experience producing governance, risk, impact assessment and decision documentation.
• Ability to analyse processes, data and operating models and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Experience working across multiple business and technology teams within a large organisation.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong planning, organisation, accountability and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in records management, information governance, GDPR, privacy‑enhancing technologies, enterprise data platforms or data analysis would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, analysis, documentation and management of requirements across strategic and regulatory initiatives.
• Translate regulatory obligations into clear requirements, process maps, use cases, and traceability.
• Perform gap analysis, root cause analysis and process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and risk reduction.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and support decision-making.
• Lead analysis and process design for records management capabilities and governance arrangements.
• Collaborate with programme managers, project managers, product owners, architects and SMEs to manage scope and dependencies.
• Support UAT through test scenarios, data, acceptance criteria and defect resolution.
• Prepare analysis and delivery updates for governance forums.
• Support implementation planning and adoption of new processes and controls.
• Represent the Data Retention & Governance function in cross‑functional initiatives.
