Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering in Dublin to lead teams delivering scalable data pipelines on the Palmos platform.

You will drive onboarding of enterprise datasets, enable domain-driven data products, and accelerate adoption of modern data architectures across analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. The role requires hands-on expertise with Databricks, Spark, and cloud-native technologies, plus strong leadership to guide multi-team delivery with governance

Qualifications

• Experience leading and scaling data engineering teams.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures (lakehouse, data mesh).
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, and SDLC practices.
• Strong governance, security, and access control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and coaching for data engineering teams.
• Lead onboarding of enterprise datasets into Palmos, enabling ingestion and publishing of data assets.
• Own delivery of scalable data pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tech.
• Ensure alignment to data mesh principles and governance.
• Drive collaboration across platform, domain, governance, and business teams to execute a complex book of work.
• Define and enforce best practices for data engineering and platform capabilities.
• Implement data security, entitlements, and governance controls.
• Identify risks and dependencies to ensure successful execution.
• Enable downstream analytics and AI/ML use cases through high-quality data.
• Scale operating practices for enterprise AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation.
• Advance reuse of firm technology assets across teams.
