Xtremepush Limited in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to own the ingestion of new data sources into the Xtremepush platform. You will design and build custom ETL/ELT pipelines, working directly with client technical and data teams to secure access, resolve data quality issues and land data with the right latency.

The role requires strong data engineering, integration and stakeholder management experience, with hands-on SQL, Python and experience with systems such as Kafka,

Qualificações

• 5+ years of data engineering or data integration experience, with senior/lead exposure.
• Degree in CS/Software/Data Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with client tech teams and stakeholders, ideally in regulated sectors like gaming/fintech.
• Strong ETL/ELT and pipeline design across batch and streaming, with idempotent loads and backfills.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with production-quality code and API integrations.
• Experience with relational and columnar databases (MySQL, ClickHouse).
• Experience with Kafka and file-based integrations (SFTP).
• Experience orchestrating pipelines with Dagster or Airflow.
• Hands-on AWS experience (storage, access and secrets management).
• Cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake) desirable.
• Kubernetes, Linux and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines) desirable.
• Monitoring/alerting with Datadog or similar; exposure to CDP/CRM/mktg platforms desirable.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to own the ingestion of new data sources into the Xtremepush platform supporting our clients’ marketing and personalisation use cases. Working across a number of clients, you will design and build custom jobs, working directly with their technical and data teams to secure access, resolve data quality issues and land data in the right shape and at the right latency. This role requires the successful candidate to have strong data engineering, integration and key stakeholder management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT and ingestion pipelines that bring new client data sources into the Xtremepush platform.

• Define integration patterns and standards for batch, file-based, API and event-driven ingestion.

• Ensure data lands in the structure and at the latency the Data Analyst and Data Modeller require.

• Work with client technical and data teams on secure source access, data contracts and data quality.

• Orchestrate, monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, leading triage and root cause analysis when failures occur.

• Document integrations, data flows and dependencies, and advise on integration scope and effort during use case planning.

• Provide mentorship and support to associate team members

Your Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering or data integration, ideally including a senior or lead role.

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience working directly with client technical teams and stakeholders, ideally in financial services, gaming or another regulated sector with consent and data protection requirements.

• Strong ETL/ELT and pipeline design skills across batch and streaming, including idempotent loads, backfills and failure recovery.

• Strong Python and SQL, including production-quality tested code, REST API integrations and query performance tuning.

• Experience with relational and columnar databases, such as MySQL and ClickHouse.

• Experience with event streaming, such as Kafka, and file-based integrations, such as SFTP.

• Experience orchestrating pipelines with a tool such as Dagster or Airflow.

• Hands-on AWS experience, including storage, access management and secrets management.

• Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse is desirable.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux and CI/CD tooling, such as Bitbucket Pipelines, is desirable.

• Experience setting up monitoring and alerting in Datadog or a similar tool is desirable.

• Experience with a CDP, CRM or marketing automation platform is desirable.
