A leading organization is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team on a six-month rolling contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data projects, leveraging advanced technologies to drive business insights and decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions. They will work closely with stakeholders to optimize data workflows and ensure seamless data integration across platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL-based solutions for data management and analysis
• Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Informatica and SSIS
• Utilize Python and R for data processing, analysis, and automation
• Work with BI tools, including but not limited to Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, QuickSight, Business Objects, and LOGI, to create insightful reports and dashboards
• Leverage Snowflake for scalable data solutions, with preference given to candidates experienced in this platform
• Utilize Dataiku for data preparation, model development, and deployment where applicable
• Support web application development initiatives related to data processing and visualization
• Work with AWS-based cloud solutions to optimize data storage, processing, and analytics
• Implement DevOps best practices in data engineering, ensuring robust data pipelines and workflow automation

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of experience working with SQL
• At least three years of hands-on experience with Python and R
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies and data integration techniques
• Experience working with modern BI tools and reporting solutions
• Knowledge of Snowflake, AWS or Azure, and web application development is highly desirable
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and best practices in data engineering
