Job summary

EY Ireland is seeking a Data Architect to lead data modelling, integration, governance and strategy across multiple client engagements. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers and stakeholders to transform data into strategic assets and drive business outcomes.

You will mentor consultants, shape governance policies and contribute to transformational projects, with hybrid working and a strong emphasis on client-facing delivery.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy.
• At least 2 years of consulting experience providing guidance and hands-on implementation.
• Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and SQL.
• Extensive knowledge of data integration (ETL) and data warehouse design.
• Experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, integration, storage, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Assess existing data architectures and recommend remediation plans to optimise data management.
• Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution with minimal disruption.
• Act as a trusted advisor on data architecture, governance, quality and security.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and provide thought leadership to drive innovation.
