Acuity Inc. in Cork is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define scalable, governed data solutions across Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and the enterprise lakehouse.

This hands-on role blends architecture with coding, collaborating with data engineering, platform, reporting, analytics, AI, and business teams. You will lead architecture strategy, governance, and mentorship of engineers while ensuring secure, maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives in a dynamic, collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on data architecture or related roles.
• Strong expertise with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and lakehouse models.
• Experience designing data platforms for enterprise reporting and self-serve analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, Git and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architectures for Databricks and Azure Data Lake.
• Create reference architectures for ingestion, governance, security, and consumption.
• Lead architecture reviews and maintain a prioritized roadmap.
• Provide hands-on direction and mentor engineers throughout Agile delivery.
• Partner with governance, security, product, and business teams to ensure scalable, secure solutions.
