Circle K is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Dublin to lead customer and marketing analytics within Global Data & Analytics. You will collaborate with Digital, Marketing, Finance and Data teams to deliver data-driven insights and drive retention and growth.

The role requires hands-on ML and statistical modelling, translating results for business stakeholders and integrating insights into operational initiatives. A strong data science background is essential.

Qualifications

THE ROLE

As part of the Global Data & Analytics Team, we are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy Senior Data Scientist specializing in Customer and Marketing Analytics. This role will play a critical part in developing global customer Intelligence solutions driving retention and growth.

The candidate will be collaborating with Digital, Marketing, Finance, and Data teams to deliver data-driven insights that drive strategic and tactical decision-making. The ideal candidate will have
hands-on experience building Machine Learning and Statistical models, interpreting results for business stakeholders, and integrating those insights into operational excellence initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead the design and implementation of high-impact data science projects involving ambiguous problems with incomplete data.

• Drive end-to-end data science project lifecycle from business problem understanding, data collection, preprocessing to deployment and performance monitoring.

• Translate complex model and statistical outputs into clear, actionable insights for Digital, Marketing, and Leadership teams.

• Lead engagement across functions and communicate insights to partners. Frame insights in terms of business impact, risks, and trade-offs.

• Implement CI/CD and automation, performance monitoring and tuning, leveraging AI Agent structures to manage and streamline activity.

• Mentor junior team members in their code development and data management, driving best practices in code management (Git), testing, review and release processes.

• Foster a data-driven culture by promoting experimentation, curiosity, and evidence-based decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science).

• Experience applying operational research, statistical and machine learning techniques, including a combination of the following: classification, regression, time series forecasting, clustering, optimization, anomaly detection etc.

• Proficient in data wrangling and visualization using tools like Pandas, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Proficiency in query processing languages such as SQL and PySpark, along with hands-on experience on cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical information to all levels of the organization and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging diverse teams and senior leaders across geographies.

• Collaborative and proactive, with the initiative to drive projects to successful completion.

• Adaptable to new and evolving technologies and business needs. Curious and committed to continuous learning in both business and technology domain.
