Job summary

Mastercard’s Business Security Enablement (BSE) team seeks a Lead Data & AI Security Engineer to drive security across data-driven and AI initiatives. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to embed security by design and align with regulatory requirements.

The role requires deep security expertise, leadership, and the ability to influence global teams. You will manage threat modeling, secure coding practices, and security reviews throughout the product lifecycle,

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in information security with hands-on secure software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of risk management and data privacy for data analytics and AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Security Partnership & Advocacy: serve as the primary security partner for Data Commercialization and AI programs.
• Security Engineering Enablement: translate policies into actionable guidance and embed security in SDLC.
• Collaboration & Leadership: bridge Corporate Security with Data/AI product teams.
• Security Reviews & Oversight: lead governance for data/AI work including design reviews and threat modeling.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: monitor threats and improve security architectures and tooling.
