Job summary

Mastercard’s Business Security Enablement (BSE) team seeks a seasoned Lead Security Engineer (L6) – Data & AI to champion security for Data Commercialization and AI initiatives. You will partner with technology, engineering, and business teams to embed secure practices across lifecycles and ensure secure-by-design data and AI solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of information security experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of security standards (ISO, PCI-DSS, NIST).

Qualifications

• Extensive information security and engineering experience.
• Leadership and collaboration across global teams.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, risk management, and privacy.
• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD security controls.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, ISO27001, NIST SP 800-53.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data & AI programs to provide security risk guidance.
• Translate security policies into actionable guidance for Data & AI teams.
• Lead security governance, design/code reviews, and threat modeling.
• Drive security user stories in PI Planning and track requirements to closure.
• Monitor threats and improve security architectures and tooling.
