Job summary

TechHeads is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Consultant for a fully remote contract role based in Ireland. You will work with security, risk and compliance teams to assess practices, identify improvements and support key security initiatives.

The role focuses on cybersecurity risk management, governance and regulatory compliance, with exposure to ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls in a large enterprise setting. Remote collaboration with senior stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cyber Security Consulting or IT Risk.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls.
• Understand enterprise IT, cloud security.
• Experience with security assessments and gap analyses.
• Knowledge of DORA, NIS2 or GDPR is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work remotely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and gap analyses.
• Support implementation of controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls.
• Review policies, standards and procedures, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Support regulatory compliance and cyber resilience initiatives.
• Assess third-party and supplier security risks.
• Produce risk assessments, security reports, remediation plans and recommendations.
• Assist cybersecurity transformation projects and ongoing security improvements.
