Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a senior cybersecurity professional to lead cyber solution development, incidents investigations, and technical leadership for a global financial organization in Ireland.

You will mentor analysts, guide investigations, and partner with Threat Intelligence, IAM, Cloud Security, and Risk teams to improve detection and response across MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• Relevant industry certifications preferred.
• Experience with triage & detections on SIEM/XDR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Splunk or CrowdStrike.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic cybersecurity initiatives to enhance Security Operations and Incident Response capabilities.
• Act as Incident Commander during major cyber security incidents.
• Provide advanced technical analysis of security events and emerging threats.
• Mentor Tier 1–3 analysts and develop incident response playbooks.
