Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a hands‑on Cyber Governance & Risk Senior Analyst to scale governance and risk through automation. You will drive continuous monitoring, partner with control owners, and mature in‑house GRC capabilities using RPA and AI‑assisted development.

You’ll contribute to ISMS activities, maintain control effectiveness, and deliver evidence for customers and auditors while growing within a collaborative security team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Experience building automation in a GRC, security, or compliance context.
• Working knowledge of at least two control frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
• Experience partnering with control owners or operators to drive remediation to closure, including accountability outside the security team.
• Strong communication skills to translate control and risk information for stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the Security Governance program (Common Controls Framework maintenance, policy and standards, KPI/SLA measurement) and the Cyber Risk program (findings intake, risk analysis through the Risk Management Lifecycle, Risk Register integrity).
• Identify governance, control‑testing, and risk‑analysis work for continuous automated monitoring, and build it using robotic process automation, agentic workflows, and in‑house GRC tooling.
• Measure control effectiveness continuously against defined thresholds, surfacing drift as it happens.
• Codify control‑effectiveness logic with clear parameters and guardrails for automation.
• Partner with control owners to deliver remediation and ensure evidence is available and trusted.
• Take results through to risk and populate Risk Register entries for risk owner decisions.
• Support the annual ISMS organizational risk assessment and produce continuous‑monitoring evidence for audits.
