Job summary

Personio is seeking a Core Accounting Lead to heading our Accounts Payable team, bank payments, and journal oversight. You will drive the Local GAAP close across several entities and coordinate audits, statutory filings, and cross-border activities.

The role requires strong German GAAP knowledge, 6+ years in accounting, and a professional qualification. Based in Dublin with the option for Munich or Berlin, this hybrid role offers collaboration across Finance, Legal, and Strategy teams and

Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in auditing/accounting, preferably in Big 4 or fast-growing SaaS.
2+ years of people management experience are required.
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/Bilanzbuchhalter/StB or equivalent).
Experience with German GAAP (HGB) and exposure to other GAAPs is a plus.
Experience leveraging automation tools like Floqast/Blackline and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the Accounts Payable team and manage bank payments and journals.
Oversee Local GAAP month-end/year-end close across multiple entities.
Coordinate cross-border statutory filings, audits, and tax/compliance matters.
Partner with FP&A and external auditors to ensure compliant financial statements.
