Job summary

Main Building Contractor in County Clare is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead day-to-day site activities, supervise trades, and ensure works meet drawings, specs and programme.

You will work with Site Manager, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain productivity, manage labour, maintain safety culture and quality on projects across County Clare. Minimum 5 years' foreman experience, Safe Pass, and driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Foreman or supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience working for a main building contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily site activities and construction operations.
• Organise and allocate work to direct labour, subcontractors and trades.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings and programme requirements.
• Monitor daily productivity and ensure adequate labour and resources are available.
• Coordinate deliveries, plant, materials and equipment.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Site Manager.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues and sequencing conflicts.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture on site.
• Maintain accurate daily site records and labour allocation records.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and coordinate trade interfaces.
