Job summary

CORLANN in Limerick City is seeking a Senior Community Facilitator/Day Service Coordinator to lead day services for adults with intellectual disability, ensuring high quality supports in line with HIQA Regulation.

You will manage day-to-day operations, develop personalised supports, supervise staff, coordinate on-call cover, and ensure accurate reporting and administration while promoting independence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 7 qualification with regulator registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with people with an Intellectual Disability.
• Strong working knowledge of New Directions Standards.
• Demonstrate ability to manage and supervise staff.
• Understanding of Personal Lifestyle Planning.
• Proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent IT, administration, report writing and organisational skills.
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekend shifts.
• Be prepared to be on call as required.

Permanent Full Time Contract

Location: Limerick City & County

The person appointed to this post will be responsible for the day to day management of Day Services for Adults with Intellectual Disability in Limerick City in line with HIQA Regulation.

The requirement of the post is to maintain and further develop a personalised range of supports which will meet the current and emerging needs of people who avail of the services.

Essential

• Possess a relevant Level 7 third level qualification, at minimum, with registration with regulator as appropriate.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with people with an Intellectual Disability Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have a strong working knowledge of New Directions Standards
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and supervise staff
• Have an understanding of and commitment to Personal Lifestyle Planning.
• Be proactive and have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.
