Job summary

Astreya Consultancy India is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead RCA for critical incidents across AWS and Azure. You will design and extend Terraform-based IaC, support DR/testing, and drive reliability through monitoring and cost optimization. The role involves mentoring juniors and shaping architectures.

You will collaborate with security teams to enforce IAM, least privilege, and network segmentation while guiding migrations and platform onboarding. Expect India-to-Ireland tenure.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles.
• Working experience with both AWS and Azure.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation tasks.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Experience leading RCA and incident response for production systems.
• Clear written communication skills; able to document work and runbooks.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members; relocation involved to India for 3 months, then Ireland for 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for P1/P2 incidents on cloud infra across AWS and Azure.
• Build and maintain IaC modules (Terraform) and CI/CD components.
• Own disaster recovery testing and backup validation.
• Support reliability with monitoring, alerts, and on-call rotation.
• Drive incident response and document findings with post-incident reviews.
• Apply cloud security best practices in partnership with security teams.
• Lead evaluation and PoC of new tools and services.
• Support migrations and scaling, taking an active design role.
• Drive FinOps and cost optimization on owned components.
• Mentor Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and improve runbooks.
• Maintain audit-ready docs and ensure compliance with reference architectures.
