Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking an AI Performance Engineer for Cloud AI Engineering in Cork. The role focuses on converting, optimizing, and deploying models for efficient inference using PyTorch and ONNX, while exploring GenAI algorithms and performance opportunities.

The team works across LLM, VLM and diffusion models, mapping workloads to current and future hardware and collaborating with compiler, firmware and platform teams to deliver high-performance AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Convert, optimize and deploy models for efficient inference using PyTorch, ONNX.
• Work at the forefront of GenAI by understanding advanced algorithms and numerics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Performance analysis and optimization of LLM, VLM, and diffusion models for inference and throughput/latency.
• Map the next generation AI workloads on current and future hardware designs.
• Collaborate with customers and internal compiler, firmware and platform teams to drive solutions.
• Analyze complex performance or stability issues to identify root causes.
• Create engineering solutions to deliver continuous insights into AI workload performance.
• Design and implement high-level kernels, e.g. in Triton, for efficient low-level code.
