Job summary

eir business talent is seeking a Senior Client-Side Design Manager for a 12‑month contract in Athlone, Ireland, to lead the design and team activities on a major OSD pharmaceutical retrofit project.

Acting as Owner’s Representative, you will manage multidisciplinary design consultants, align with GMP, budget, schedule and governance standards, and drive procurement through tendering to contract award.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in pharma or life science project design.
• Experience with EPCM and client-side design management.
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-side design management for a major OSD facility capital project.
• Coordinate architectural, process, mechanical, electrical, automation, civil, structural, and clean utility design activities.
• Manage external engineering consultants, EPCM partners, and vendors.
• Lead procurement and tendering with EPCM partner up to contract award.
• Ensure design aligns with business case, manufacturing strategy and operational requirements.
• Monitor design progress against scope, budget, and timeline.
