Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor in Co. Kerry. The role covers QS duties for BOQ tendering, cost analysis and reporting on a large road project.

The candidate should have 5+ years of civil experience, a relevant degree, and strong IT skills (Cubit/Cost-ex, Word, Excel) with the ability to multi-task and meet demanding deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience on civil engineering projects.
• Degree qualification.
• Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
• Good IT skills with Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
• Ability to coordinate several different projects at the same time.
• An understanding and experience of construction procedures, methodology & specifications.

Responsibilities

• Quantity Surveying, BOQ tendering, cost analysis & reporting.
• Valuations and progress claims.
• Coordinate multiple civil engineering projects on a large road project.
