GEDON™ is seeking a Senior Estimator to strengthen its estimating team for civil engineering and utilities projects across Ireland and the UK. You will lead tender submissions, build rates, and work with engineering, operations and commercial colleagues to deliver robust, buildable estimates.
This role offers exposure to major frameworks and long-term programmes, with clear career progression within a stable infrastructure contractor as energy and utilities continue to grow.
Our client is an established civil engineering and utilities infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across Ireland and the UK. Their work spans water, gas, power, telecommunications, renewable energy and wider public infrastructure, supporting utility providers, public bodies and private clients on essential national networks.
Over many years, the business has built a strong reputation for technical capability, safe delivery and dependable performance on demanding infrastructure work. Much of their workload is secured through long-term frameworks and repeat clients, providing stability and a clear pipeline of future projects.
With significant investment flowing into Ireland’s energy transition, water infrastructure and utility networks, the business continues to grow. They are now strengthening their estimating team with a senior appointment to support an expanding range of tenders and programmes.
You will join a practical, experienced team where estimating works hand in hand with engineering, operations and commercial colleagues. The culture is grounded and collaborative, with experienced people willing to share knowledge and a strong focus on getting the price right for work that the business will go on to deliver.
The project mix is technically diverse, ranging from pipelines, networks and treatment works to cable routes, grid connections, renewable energy infrastructure and civil works for public clients. Many projects form part of long-term programmes and frameworks, offering continuity and the chance to build deep expertise across multiple utility sectors.
Experienced estimators will find real scope to take ownership of significant tenders and influence bidding strategy. For engineers or project managers looking to move into estimating, the business offers a supportive environment in which to make that transition, drawing on your site and delivery experience to produce robust, buildable estimates.
This position offers a salary of up to €100,000. More importantly, it provides a long-term platform within a stable, technically diverse infrastructure contractor, with exposure to substantial programmes across Ireland and the UK and strong prospects for career progression as the energy and utilities sectors continue to grow.
