Job summary

Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates (CSEA) seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead urban infrastructure and active-travel projects. You will deliver designs across feasibility to construction, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, CPD‑driven practice.

You should have a degree in Civil Engineering, a strong track record on civil projects, knowledge of Irish standards (DMURS, NTA, TII, TSM), and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
• Significant experience delivering civil projects across design stages.
• Strong knowledge of Irish design standards and guidance (DMURS, NTA, TII, TSM).
• Experience mentoring junior staff desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil engineering design across projects with focus on active travel and urban infrastructure.
• Deliver designs through feasibility, preliminary, detailed design and construction support.
• Design roads, junctions, and streetscapes with pedestrian and cycling access.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and technical reports to Irish standards.
• Coordinate with landscape architects and structural engineers to deliver urban solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians and junior engineers.
• Engage in client, stakeholder and project team meetings; attend site visits as required.
