Job summary

Jacobs in Ireland is seeking a Career or Senior Level Civil Engineer to join the design team, responsible for civil analysis and design for projects and playing a key leadership role in the civil team.

You will develop design concepts, complete analysis and design, and communicate civil requirements with Designers and Senior Civil Engineers, ensuring adherence to codes and standards across site infrastructure and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of manufacturing project experience.
• Experience in semiconductor, data center or industrial facilities is an advantage.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical, design, and coaching skills for civil teams.

Responsibilities

• Competently performs all conventional aspects of civil engineering and analysis.
• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Exercises sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
• Highly proficient in and committed to checking own work.
• Able to review and evaluate construction documents for accuracy and full compliance with client design standards, company standards, and local jurisdiction code requirements.
• Takes responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work, can lead a team, small or large.
• Clearly define own scope and can forecast level of effort needed to complete that scope. Be ready to identify scope change and elevate it to project management team.
• Ask for help when needed, and delegate to other engineers when appropriate.
• Possesses excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Provides technical coaching, mentorship, and/or training to develop less experienced engineers.
• Proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the civil discipline. Embraces emerging technologies.
• Able to support work for/in other offices (possibly including Temporary Duty Assignments).
