Job summary

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) based in Ireland is recruiting Inspectors at Grade III in the Chemicals and Industrial Products Division. The role focuses on monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Chemicals Acts, COMAH, and ADR for road transport, to keep workers safe across Ireland.

Ideal candidates will hold a NFQ level 8 degree in engineering or science, have at least two years of regulatory/industry experience, and possess a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum regulatory/industry experience.
• Primary degree NFQ level 8 or equivalent in engineering or science.
• Full driving licence (Category B) required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections for COMAH/ADR compliance and enforcement actions.
• Assess submissions and provide technical responses (COMAH reports, planning advice).
• Investigate incidents and prepare investigation reports for legal proceedings.
