Job summary

Talbot Hotel Clonmel, part of the Talbot Collection, is seeking an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to ensure timely delivery of high-quality food to Wheat Bar & Bistro customers and function guests. You will report to the Head Chef and work across all sections with focus on weddings and events.

Key responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, safe operation of equipment, and collaboration within a busy kitchen team in a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• HACCP training and high hygiene standards.
• Ability to work well in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes in a timely fashion to agreed standard.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards.

Job description

The Talbot Hotel Clonmel, part of the Talbot Collection is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie.

As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality food to customers of our Wheat Bar & Bistro and guests of our function business in all sections with a particular focus on busy weddings and functions. The Senior Chef de Partie will report to the Head Chef.

Main Duties to include.

• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion and to the appropriate agreed standard.
• Operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques.
• Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene.
• Operate machines and cooking equipment in a reasonable manner.
• Understand the provisions and maintenance of the kitchen service.
• Work as part of a busy kitchen team and overall, as part of a professional hotel team
• Assist in other sections as required by the business.

The successful candidate will

• Experience in a similar position is essential.
• Ability to work well in a busy environment.
• Have a passion for quality and presentation.
• Be HACCP trained and demonstrate excellent hygiene practice.
• Have a professional appearance & work attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
