Job summary

Mater Private Cork is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in Echo, EP or Devices to join the Heart and Vascular Department. The role involves managing clinic workload, supervising staff and mentoring juniors within a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate will contribute to non-invasive and invasive investigations and follow-up clinics, ensuring high-quality service in line with international guidelines and department policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years post qualification with competency in Echocardiography OR Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring OR Electrophysiology with adequate studies and technician reports.
• Accreditation with IBHRE, BHRS or BSE / EAVCI / Echo accreditation or working towards accreditation.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good IT skills and ability to manage a high volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Manage own clinic workload with efficiency and high quality.
• Provide staff supervision according to department demands and mentor junior staff.
• Lead device and non-invasive testing to high standard per department policies and guidelines.
• Support clinical leadership within the Heart and Vascular Department.
