Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Lead Project Engineer at St James’ Gate in Dublin to drive Capex projects for the brewery and Baileys sites. The role partners with Operations and Asset Care to meet the Beer category investment plan and to deliver value across a complex project portfolio.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage contractor safety, and report progress to senior stakeholders while ensuring compliance and on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety experience.
• Engineering knowledge and experience.
• Considerable project management experience.
• Effective stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Good at networking to establish excellent relationships.
• Ability to prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of Capex Project Engineers assigned to various projects.
• Managing Health & Safety of contractor works including managing a H&S Lead resource.
• Developing and leading project progress and cash delivery reporting tools & forums.
• Managing total cash spend for the project portfolio to an annual operating plan.
• Leading the long-range Capital Project planning process for the site.
• Using specialist engineering knowledge to support delivery to correct technical specification.
• Ensuring project compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and Diageo policies.
• Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
• Communication to stakeholders at all levels.
