Job summary

emagine is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join our Dublin team on a 12-month contract, hybrid work. You will engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document requirements, translate needs into user stories, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Minimum 7 years BA experience, strong data governance and reporting skills, and experience across business, operational and technical teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience delivering at least two relevant assignments in Data Strategy, Systems Integration, Digital Transformation, Reporting & Analytics workflow or Process Improvement.
• A Level 8 degree (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong experience documenting: Business processes, Data flows, User journeys, Business rules, System requirements, Reporting requirements.
• Understanding of data management principles including Data ownership, Stewardship, Data quality, Metadata.
• Experience working with internal business systems, databases, reporting tools and workflow platforms.
• Strong facilitation, interviewing, analytical, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business, process, data and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions across business and technical teams.
• Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and user stories.
• Document current and future-state processes, business rules, data flows and user journeys.
• Support data improvement, systems change and digital transformation initiatives.
• Bridge operational requirements, data governance considerations and technical delivery teams.
• Analyse and document reporting requirements, data definitions, ownership, stewardship and quality requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information asset inventories and data-related documentation.
• Produce requirements traceability matrices and maintain prioritised delivery backlogs.
• Support solution design, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and business readiness activities.
• Develop acceptance criteria, test scenarios and handover documentation.
• Identify, track and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).
• Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery and business adoption of solutions.
