Job summary

Auxilion is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions. You will gather requirements, design processes, create functional designs, and plan testing, delivering high-quality results with Azure DevOps and Power Platform in an agile setting.

You will work with stakeholders and SMEs to translate needs into clear designs for delivery teams, contributing across the full SDLC and mentoring junior analysts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and prioritisation skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of Junior Business Analysts.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into requirement, functional and process models.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform to translate requirements into designs.

• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements.
• Process Design: Develop and optimise business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Functional Design: Create detailed functional specifications and design documents to guide development teams.
• Testing Planning and Execution: Develop test plans, test cases, and execute testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Agile Project Delivery: Work within Agile frameworks to deliver projects iteratively and incrementally.
• Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria to a standard ready for development.
• Manage and track requirements, stories and test artefacts in Azure DevOps throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Azure DevOps: Utilise Microsoft Azure DevOps for project management, version control, and CI/CD.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our clients’ business needs and our technical solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing requirements, designing processes, creating functional designs, and planning and executing testing. Your expertise in Agile methodologies and Microsoft Azure DevOps will be essential in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. This is a customer-facing role and you will work directly with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to produce requirement, functional and process models that translate business needs into clear, actionable designs for delivery teams.

What skills will you have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, process modelling and documentation skills
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, process design, functional design, and testing.
• Proven experience producing requirement, functional and process models as core deliverables.
• Hands-on experience with solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)— sufficient to translate business requirements into platform-appropriate functional designs.
• Strong testing background: experience planning and executing functional and user acceptance testing.
• Experience working across full SDLC and agile delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid).
• Proficient in tools such as Visio, Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT consultancy or similar environment.

• Ability to lead stakeholder engagement and manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Relevant business analysis certification (e.g. BCS/ISEB Business Analysis Diploma, IIBA CBAP/CCBA, AgileBA).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Dataverse security models, or wider Microsoft data platform tooling a plus.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of Junior Business Analysts.
