Job summary

Apleona is seeking a Senior BMS & Energy Manager for our Carrigaline, Co Cork facility. You will lead energy and BMS teams across client sites, drive energy strategies, and implement ECMs while ensuring regulatory and ESG alignment.

Responsibilities include data-driven energy optimization, overseeing BMS performance, and delivering cost savings and safety improvements across portfolios. A strong background in BMS platforms and smart building tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Energy Management or related discipline.
• 5-7+ years' experience in team management and business development.
• Strong understanding of European energy regulations and sustainability frameworks.
• Proven leadership across multi-site operations.
• Experience with BMS platforms (Siemens, Cylon, Trend).
• Experience with digital FM tools, analytics platforms and smart building tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Energy and BMS teams across multiple client sites.
• Drive high-quality technical service aligned with Apleona's standards.
• Promote safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop energy strategies aligned with client ESG goals and sustainability commitments.
• Identify and deliver energy conservation measures (ECMs) and optimisations.
• Monitor and analyse energy data using digital tools and CAFM/analytics platforms.
• Support clients in achieving ISO 50001/LEED/BREEAM certifications and compliance.
• Deliver measurable cost savings and carbon reduction across portfolios.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and optimisation of BMS systems.
• Standardise BMS practices and reporting across accounts.
• Drive smart-building initiatives with IoT, remote monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
• Present insights and performance reports with strategic recommendations.
• Support Account Directors to achieve KPIs and client satisfaction.
• Ensure delivery of contractual energy and BMS obligations.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Support tendering and mobilisation of new contracts with technical expertise.
• Drive value creation through innovation and efficiency improvements.
• Lead energy and BMS projects across client portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with European/local regulations, HSEQ standards, and Apleona policies.
• Support audits, reporting and governance frameworks.
• Manage risks related to energy supply, system failure and business continuity.
