Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Guild Security Engineer to drive security across large, global initiatives and advise product teams on secure design practices. You will apply deep security knowledge to guard the lifecycle of applications and services and lead complex cross‑functional security efforts.

The role requires 7–10 years in information security, strong cryptography knowledge, and hands‑on security engineering expertise.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in information security disciplines.
• CISSP or industry‑recognized security certification desired.
• Advanced knowledge of security protocols and standards, especially for web-based applications.
• Knowledge or technical security experience in Cryptography.
• Experience with encryption, SSL, VPN, IDS/IPS, and security tooling.
• Automation and process improvement experience a plus.
• Programming languages experience and terminal scripting skills.
• Linux systems administration experience (moderate to extensive).

Responsibilities

• Advocate on behalf of the BSEG Guild and guide program security engineers and market facing programs on security reviews.
• Document enhancements to security standards and procedures.
• Prepare and present business/technical presentations on security topics.
• Apply security principles to business requests during lifecycle stages.
• Lead larger, global initiatives and cross‑functional security efforts.
• Provide and recommend secure design solutions meeting regulatory requirements.
