Job summary

CJK are seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to lead MEP modelling and coordination across multiple projects. The role involves taking ownership of BIM delivery, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with CJK standards and ISO 19650.

The position is office-based with regular site travel, requiring strong Revit expertise, effective communication with design teams and clients, and the ability to manage competing priorities across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience acting as BIM lead on live construction projects.
• Proven experience coordinating MEP services on fit-out projects, both in new and existing buildings.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects in accordance with ISO 19650.
• Bachelor’s degree in a subject related to the construction industry and/or a recognised qualification in Building Information Modelling.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior BIM point of contact on assigned projects, attending client, design team, and contractor coordination meetings and representing CJKs BIM position.
• Take ownership and maintain the TIDP for assigned projects.
• Interpret and contribute to the drafting of project-specific BIM documentation and ensure the project team works in accordance with all project BIM documentation.
• Deliver assigned projects in accordance with ISO 19650, and advise the wider project team on CJKs obligations when meeting the standard.
• Lead the coordination of MEP models with the models of other trades, chairing clash detection and coordination reviews.
• Allocate and monitor BIM workload across the project team, track progress against the information delivery programme, and elevate risks to the BIM Manager.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day technical support to BIM coordinators and technicians, carrying out model quality reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Support the BIM Manager in onboarding, training, and ongoing development of the wider BIM team.
• Contribute to development and continual improvement of CJKs BIM standards, templates, and SOPs.
• Set up MEP BIM models in compliance with the companys SOPs.
• Manage the development of MEP BIM models throughout construction and prepare them for handover.
• Work with site team and engineers to complete and incorporate as-built mark-ups for handover of the PIM.
• Manage asset information assignment to models for handover of the AIM.

CJK are seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator with strong technical expertise in the coordination and modelling of MEP services and a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience acting as BIM lead for an MEP contractor, including hand-on experience on fit-out projects in both new-build and existing buildings. The role involves taking ownership of BIM delivery on assigned projects and acting as a point of reference for the wider BIM team, sharing experience with colleagues as the team develops. CJK has grown significantly in recent years, and that growth is set to continue as the company wins more complex projects and moves deeper into target sectors. The company is therefore seeking BIM professionals who can bring their own past learnings to CJKs workflows and standard operating procedures, and who will be confident shaping how the team operates. The BIM team is expanding with the business, and new opportunities for career progression continue to arise. The Senior BIM Coordinator role will be office-based, with regular travel to project sites as required.

Duties and Responsibilities are as follows:

Skills and Competencies

• Expert-level MEP modelling and coordination capability in Revit, with the ability to resolve complex spatial and buildability issues.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 and its practical application to information delivery on live projects.
• Sound understanding of MEP systems, installation sequencing, and construction methodology, with the ability to interrogate design information and challenge it constructively.
• Strong fit-out capability, including the coordination of MEP services within tight existing ceiling and riser zones, and confidence working from surveys, scan data, and record drawings where existing building information is incomplete.
• Ability to set up, federate, and audit models and to enforce compliance with company and project BIM standards.
• Experience mentoring, reviewing the work of, and developing more junior BIM staff.
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting BIM information to clients, design teams, and site management.
• Well organised and able to manage competing priorities across multiple projects to meet delivery dates.
• Proactive and improvement-focused, with a genuine interest in automation and better ways of working.
