Job summary

LMH Engineering is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join a landmark 200MW Energy Centre project in Dublin. The role focuses on coordinating Building Information Models across disciplines, ensuring models and drawings are accurate, coordinated and aligned with construction activities.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in BIM coordination within construction, strong knowledge of BIM processes, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a BIM Coordinator in construction/MEP sectors.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and model management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with CDE and BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across construction phases.
• Carry out clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
• Maintain project models and documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Ensure latest approved models and drawings are available to project teams.
• Support coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Work closely with engineers and site management to resolve design and construction queries.
• Assist in the production, revision and distribution of coordinated construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and client requirements.
• Promote BIM best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the project.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join our team on a landmark 200MW Energy Centre project in Dublin.

Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project by coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) across multiple disciplines. Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants and site teams, you will ensure that models, drawings and project information remain accurate, coordinated and aligned with construction activities.

This is a site-based position requiring excellent technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models throughout the construction phase.
• Carry out clash detection and model reviews to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Manage and maintain project models and documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Ensure the latest approved models and drawings are available to project teams.
• Support coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Work closely with engineers and site management to resolve design and construction queries.
• Assist in the production, revision and distribution of coordinated construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), client requirements and company standards.
• Carry out model quality assurance checks and support project reporting requirements.
• Promote BIM best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the project.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• 5 Years' experience as a BIM Coordinator within the construction, mechanical, structural or MEP sectors.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, multidisciplinary coordination and model management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Technical Skills

Experience with the following software is desirable:

• Autodesk Revit
• Navisworks Manage
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• BIM 360
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of ISO 19650, Common Data Environment (CDE) processes and BIM standards is highly desirable.
