Job summary

CJK Engineering is seeking a BIM modeller to assist in producing MEP BIM models and GA drawings for ongoing projects in Ireland. You will work with the site team and engineers to ensure models reflect base information and handover data requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree related to construction and 1–2 years of post-education BIM/MEP modelling experience; placement or internship candidates will also be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce MEP BIM models from base information using BIM software.
• Develop MEP BIM models through construction, including GA drawings.

• Incorporate as-built mark-ups for PIM handover.
• Assign asset information for AIM handover.
• Interpret BIM documentation (BEP, TIDP, EIR, responsibility matrix).
• Understand ISO 19650 delivery process and CJK's role.
• Build knowledge of company BIM tools and automation.
• Perform other ad hoc duties to support BIM offering.

Job description

• Assist in producing MEP models from base information using the relevant BIM software – P&ID’s, Scan of facility and point cloud data.
• Develop MEP BIM models throughout construction to include G.A. drawings, plans and sections as required.
• Support the coordination of MEP models with the models of other trades.
• Work alongside the site team and engineers to complete and incorporate as-built mark-ups for handover of the Project Information Model (PIM).
• Assign asset information to models for handover of the Asset Information Model (AIM).
• Read, interpret, and understand the relationship between project-specific BIM documentation (e.g. BEP, TIDP, EIR, responsibility matrix, etc.)
• Develop an understanding of the ISO 19650 delivery process and how CJK fits into the process on assigned projects.
• Build a working knowledge of the company’s BIM tools and automation, and contribute ideas for more efficient ways of working.
• Other ad hoc duties as required to assist in the development of the company’s BIM offering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a subject related to the construction industry.
• A recognised qualification in Building Information Modelling - (beneficial but not essential).
• 1-2 years of post-education experience in a BIM or MEP modelling role; candidates with placement, internship, or final-year project experience will also be considered .
