Job summary

Flynn seeks a skilled BIM Lead to drive BIM execution and ensure project deliverables meet client standards. You will coordinate with commercial teams, contracts, clients, design teams and project directors to implement robust BIM workflows.

The role requires a degree in BIM or related field, 5+ years in a similar position, and strong Revit/Navisworks knowledge. A proactive, communicative candidate who can influence digital construction practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in BIM (Level 7/8) or related Engineering/Architecture preferred.
• Experience with Revit and Navisworks; Dynamo desirable.
• Excellent Revit Architecture knowledge; some MEP/Structures knowledge.
• 5+ years in a related field; main contractor experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM data management practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
• Understanding of BIM procedures and standard workflows.
• Good grasp of construction sequencing and on-site coordination.

We are currently seeking experienced and talented BIM professionals to join our high performing operations teams in Dublin. This role will be working with commercial teams, contracts manager, clients, design teams and project directors.

REPORTING TO: BIM Manager

Purpose of Role

Work closely with the BIM Manager to ensure that workflows and project deliverables meet the required standards and are to the clients’ satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the development of accurate and precise BIM execution plans so that project specific quality standards are set out and maintained.
• Ability to produce detailed 3D BIM models in line with specific project requirements.
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM workflows.
• Collaborate internally and externally with other disciplines.
• Create BIM Modelling content. Setup of additional Revit families and templates.
• Develop construction drawings and be able to extract data.
• Maintain and administer the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Ensure CDE is adequately capable of achieving ISO standards.
• Enforce BEP’s, standard method and procedure’s (SMP) within the CDE.
• Carry out conformity checks on Revit models.
• Manage the identification of clash detections on federated models using Navisworks.
• Monitor the implementation of BIM execution plans.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and design teams to agree objectives.
• Work closely with the BIM team to manage continuous development in relation to BIM knowledge across the organisation.

The Candidate

• A Degree in Building Information Modelling (Level 7/8) or a related Engineering / Architecture Undergraduate Degree (Level 7/8) preferable.
• Experience in software applications (Revit, NavisWorks). Understanding of Dynamo desirable but not essential.
• Excellent knowledge in Revit Architecture with some knowledge of MEP and Structures.
• 5+ years’ experience working in a related field (Main contractor experience in build/fit out is an advantage).
• Knowledge of ISO 19650.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Some understanding of BIM procedures, protocols and data management software tools.
• A good understanding of construction and the sequencing of works onsite.
• Have a passion for digitalising common construction practices and a keen desire to influence the use of innovative technology within a business.
• Self-starter with excellent communications skills.
• Exercises good judgment when working under pressure; is patient and flexible.
